Seneschal Gav openned meeting with a discussion about our upcoming Haymaker's Harvest
First discussed was reiterating who was asigned to what roles in the event.
Arondel is handling the archery competition
Brynjolf will organize Armored Combat tourney
Svana will organize A&S competition
Sven has agreed to organize a Sunday morning pancake breakfast
Venue Discussion
Next Gav brought up the discussion of Venue.
Rochelle reported via Svana that Norway Beach closes the weekend before we are having the event so we will need to find an alternate venue.
The following venues were discussed, and each was going to be investigated by a volunteer.
Fairgrounds—determined to be expensive, and not in the flavor of a mediveal setting, but will be investigated by Arondel.
Itasca (and other state parks)--The entry fee is a concern as well as the general public space.
Hobson Forest—cost is cheap, setting is acceptable.
Bagley Campground—Dorthy is checking for next meeting at Moot.
Blackduck Park—Arnlief is inquiring.
Jammer's—the option of moving up the timeline for the Jammers event was brought up, Gav will keep option open as last resort, since ideally it would be better to have a bit more experience with this type of event before doing the Jammer's event. Some concern was also made about how Jammer's would prefer a Brigid's Fyre style event open to the public, as more of a participation demo rather than a normal SCA camping event.
Concordia Language Village—Simonious said he would look into it.
Costs and Fees—some discussion was made over the costs and fees associated with entering Haymaker's Harvest, and whether the public would be welcome at a different rate or not.
Upcoming Events
Tournament of Chivalry—May 31, 2008 Rum River State Park in Anoka County
Ride sharing was brought up.
Arondel volunteered space in his vehicle. It was noted Sven could help bring people's gear as well, if necessary.
The forums on the website were brought up as a good place to connect for ridesharing for forthcoming events.
Warriors and Warlords—July 10-13, 2008 Boscobel, WI
Was brought up so people would be aware of this camping event. Some are hoping to be able to go.

Setting Shire [Village] Preferences
With regards to the setting of Shire Preferences, it was decided to open up this discussion at a short business meeting at the moot to maximize attendance.
For now, some ideas discussed were as follows:
Decisions would be voted on by those present at business meeting, it being common knowledge before hand that this will be what is discussed at the business meetings.
A simple majority of those present would decide the ruling.
Discussion was tabled until May 25th.
