Minutes for Business Meeting 8-3-08
  • It was noted that on July 30 we lost the Armory as a venue for coronation
  • July 31, Rosaline—closely associated with Mask And Rose Theater, helped us secure the Masonic Lodge as a coronation venue
  • It is at no financial cost
  • We have the venue from Thursday-Sunday of that weekend
  • All 3 floors with full access
  • It has 1 and ¾ kitchens
  • It is a dry site.
  • Efforts will be made to secure it as a regularly used site in the future.
  • It is not handicapped accessible
  • Gav will be making an effort to secure parking lot to the north of the site.
  • Our site use cost will be work, helping them in preparation for the show

    • The Mask & Rose is the tenant which is arranging our use of the site, in exchange for work
    • The site will be open for our work EVERY DAY from 10AM to 5PM
        • Special help is needed with:
      1. Paint and detail work on set for Pippi Longstocking
      2. Costume organization
      3. August 18th –set striking
      PLEASE make an effort to volunteer an hour here and there when you can to help out.

  • Library Park was also reserved for the event date
      • The event at the park is being called a Medieval Market.
    • We are encouraging merchants and vendors to come to the site, a 10x10 area
    • Merchants must make an effort at medieval attire, though Orlova Dolina will help
    • Cost to merchant will be $5 for SCA members and $8 for non members.
  • Cost of using the park is $65 with a $500 deposit
  • Gopher 1 will be required to mark underground lines and watering systems
  • The idea of an indoor archery tournament is being planned out
  • We still have need of a rapier marshal for the event

  • Tenatively on Aug 23rd or 24th we will be working with Adam to make the stakes for Orlova Dolina's list field.
