Archery Shoot
Shooting Gallery

A 3 foot tall by 8 foot long wall section that will resemble a castle wall with crenelations, with a second wall placed a few yards behind it that will be 8 foot by 8 foot. On the back wall and between the 2 wall sections will be a variety of targets for archers to shoot at. Some will be stationary, some will move, some will be knockdown so only one can claim the points. (wall sections will be safe for arrows to strike)

Winter Shoot

Since their soon to be Majesties are asking for the winter shoot to be practiced during their reign (see latest Northwatch), I will run a winter shoot so those who haven't seen one before can see how to run and score the shoot.

Arts and Sciences Contest

An A&S contest with the theme of York during the time of the Viking invasion of Britain. We encourage documentation and the ability to talk to us about your entry. There will be a comment sheet so you can receive feedback and will include two categories, Peer and non-Peer. We will be visiting those who entered around 3:00 PM so we can talk with you about your entry.

Classes
Viking Armbring "Punch" Jewelry.
Taught by Ealdred of Malmesbury

Silver armrings were very important to the vikings as both bullion and symbols of status. Many of these featured patterns created through the use of punches, either before or after casting. In this class I will be bringing both pre-made blank pewter armbands/wristlets as well as molds to make more. People can make their own designs using various punches. I'll even have some blank punches so people can make their own.
